美國總統特朗普在當地時間11日（周四）一度發文揚言將在當日晚間猛烈打擊伊朗，並在短時間內佔領伊朗重要石油出口樞紐哈爾克島，指「美方會如對付委內瑞拉一樣」。特朗普下午隨即一改口風，發文稱鑑於與伊朗的磋商結果已提交至伊朗最高領導層，並獲得批准，已取消原定對伊朗的打擊行動。

伊朗否認協議達成最終結論

伊朗外交部發言人巴加埃（Esmail Baghaei）表示，有關伊美可能達成協議的說法純屬猜測，伊朗方面至今未就協議達成最終結論。巴加埃指，卡塔爾和巴基斯坦正積極斡旋伊美談判，但美方不斷改變立場的行徑致使進程受到影響，霍爾木茲海峽形勢亦因美方的行動而更加動蕩，強調對於伊方已劃定為紅線的問題上絕不妥協。
