美國總統特朗普19日表示，烏克蘭總統澤連斯基本應一早讓這場戰爭得到解決，如果澤連斯基當初願意接受美方建議，就可以達成一份更好的協議，而烏方亦不會那麼多人喪生，認為現在是時候讓其他人代表烏克蘭，與俄羅斯進行談判。

批評澤連斯基阻撓和平進程

美國總統特朗普19日離開白宮前往堪薩斯州參加競選集會前，被在場媒體問及，對於烏克蘭總統澤連斯基批評美方「站在歷史錯誤一邊」有何看法。特朗普表示，澤連斯基根本不知自身所云，澤連斯基早應結束這場戰爭，如果當初澤連斯基願意接受美方建議，就會有一份更好的協議，更讓「一百萬人活下來」。

特朗普已多次抨擊澤連斯基

特朗普近來多次抨擊澤連斯基，繼10日揚言「烏克蘭應該換個總統」後，18日又於社交媒體發文批評澤連斯基。特朗普表示，正與俄方就俄烏戰爭進行和平談判，不願接受「任何愚蠢的事情」影響，令俄羅斯退出談判桌，而談判正在取得重大進展，包括目前的人質談判。

My decision on Russia is a very simple one. I am in the process of negotiating Peace in the war between Russia and Ukraine, and don’t want to do anything that will drive, foolishly, Russia away from the bargaining table. Great progress is being made, and that includes current hostage negotiations! Signing that document at this time will do that, and I can sign it later, or any time that I want! Perhaps more importantly, Russia is doing very little, if anything, to help the Islamic Republic of Iran, compared to what they could be doing, and I want to keep it that way, and will, unless stupid people get in the way. Lastly, Zelenskyy is using Diesel Refineries in Russia as a target, knowing that these attacks are seriously hurting the world diesel markets, including those in the United States. Farmers, ranchers, and businesses of all kinds are suffering greatly from this, but Russia is, nevertheless, sending, at a low price, millions of barrels of diesel to the World. Zelenskyy doesn’t care, and frankly, with all of the money that Europe is famously giving him, and that Crooked Joe Biden gave him in the past, he doesn’t want to end this war, and probably never did. He could have made a better deal two years ago than he can now. His country is in shambles, a large portion of his land is lost, his oceans and seas are gone, and his male population is low, wounded, and/or dead. I WANT THIS WAR END! 特朗普批評澤連斯基早前對俄方煉油廠的攻擊，「美方農民、牧場主和各行各業的企業都因此遭受巨大損失」，而澤連斯基根本不在乎。皆因歐洲巨額資金支持及前任美國總統拜登資助，令澤連斯基根本不想結束這場戰爭，而「實際上兩年前本可以達成比現在更好的協議」，強調這場戰爭必須結束。
