美國總統特朗普23日再次表示對結束伊朗戰事沒有壓力，指他不急於與伊朗達成協議，他欲要達成「最好」且「永久」有效的協議。特朗普又稱，不會對伊朗動用核武，美方即使沒有發動核打擊亦已將伊朗「徹底摧毀」。
特朗普稱自己不急於達成協議
美國總統特朗普23日在白宮向媒體表示，對結束伊朗戰事完全沒有壓力，認為伊朗才是承受壓力的一方，因為美軍在海上的封鎖，令伊朗難以恢復石油運輸，伊朗石油基礎設施體系將面臨崩潰。

特朗普稱，目前就可以與伊朗達成協議，但他欲達成「最好」且「永久」有效的協議，使伊朗不得擁有核武。對於為了達成協議可以等多久，特朗普稱「不要催」，「不想讓自己太著急」，強調美方「有充足時間」。
特朗普表示，美方已打擊伊朗大約75%的目標，伊朗軍事力量已大幅削弱，揚言若伊朗不願達成協議，就會用軍事手段處理餘下的事情。當被問及會否對伊朗動用核武，特朗普表示「不會」，又指美方即使沒有發動核打擊亦已將伊朗「徹底摧毀」。
特朗普當日稍早時在社交媒體發文表示，不急於結束伊朗戰事，指時間在在美國這邊，認為他自己是「心理壓力最小的」，而他「擁有全世界最充裕的時間，而伊朗則沒有」，往後的形勢將愈來愈對伊朗不利，指「時間並不站在伊朗那邊」。
伊朗批美國淪為恐怖主義推手
伊朗總統佩澤希齊揚（Masoud Pezeshkian）表示，伊朗沒有「激進派」或「溫和派」之分，都是伊朗人和革命者，憑藉著對最高領袖的絕對服從，將讓侵略者付出代價。

伊朗外交部發言人巴加埃（Esmail Baghaei）稱，美國總統轉發「殺掉那些不願達成協議的人」的聲明，美國這個曾經標榜自己是民主、自由和人道主義價值國家，如今似乎淪為恐怖主義、謀殺和大規模暴力的推手。
